Undercover has already released a previous version of the Jack Purcell model around last year. The new version now will be different with polka dot designs on the kicks. It’s pretty much the same style shoe, except for the dots. The kicks come in either black or white and will release this Saturday April 14 at the HK Undercover shop.

Junya Watanabe x Converse

Posted by samplekickz on 6 March, 2007

Here a closer look at the Junya Watanabe Man x Converse Chuck Taylor Lo’s that they collaborated on for Spring 2007.

There are two version, each in several colorways that came out. There is one checker version that comes in navy blue, black and red and reminds of Vans and Skateboarding and then there is a model that has a plaid pattern in two colorways.

Both looking pretty classic and still we have never seen them like this before. Junya Watanabe always manages to present something classic and usually simple in design, yet it is completely new. Always striking and one thinks that the idea is easy, but somehow only the best in the world manage to do that.

United Arrows x Converse Chuck Taylor

Posted by samplekickz on 2 March, 2007

After the recent Vans collaboration, United Arrows now got together with Converse on the Chuck Taylor Hi. It comes in two colorways, black and white. At first we were not really sure what is so special about these and we have to admit you have to read the description in order to figure out most of the details. United Arrows brought back the original form of the sneaker that it had in the 70’s. Not only that, but they also used the original canvas material and heel patches from that time period. Another nice details is the double stitching on the side of the sneaker.

Posted by samplekickz on 14 February, 2007

The people from Caliroots recently hit up the tradeshow in Copenhagen. Their they also visited the Reebok and the Converse booths. Reebok was showing the line-up for the 25th anniversary of the Freestyle High. Aside from the artist styles that we already showed you, they will also release the sneaker in many uni color-ways. Their are lots of strong color-ways in the line-up, which will certainly make the sneaker stand out.

Converse also always surprises us with their (Product) Red line. Above also a little preview of what you can expect from them, aside from various collaboration in that line, that will come on top.

Converse x Junya Watanabe

Posted by samplekickz on 3 February, 2007

For Spring 2007 Converse got together with Junya Watanabe. The designer made 6 versions of the low Chuck Taylor with all sorts of different patterns and materials in use. This quote describes perfectly the collaboration strategy of Junya Watanabe:

“One of the main concepts behind my men’s collection is to collaborate with brands that have one way or another, perfected something, The Chuck Taylor is certainly an example of this.”

The sneakers will drop early March at Barney’s, Colette, Comme des Garcons, Saks Fifth Avenue and other high end boutiques

Converse Lamb of God All-Stars

Posted by samplekickz on 16 January, 2007

Converse All-Stars are a classic shoe worn by many people from around the world, in my opinion, probably the most worn sneaker ever. Here are a few photos of some All-Stars that Converse have done for American Metal band Lamb of God who are nominated for “Best Metal Performance” in the upcoming Grammy Awards. The first model features black patent leather with Lamb of God’s logo laser etched in, the second is done with black patent snakeskin leather and the last one is made with snakeskin featuring the Grammy awards logo on the side. Some very interesting materials and a nice twist for this classic shoe.
