F.I.L. Hong Kong Products and Launch Party

As we reported before, F.I.L. will be opening in Hong Kong and this will be their third location in total and first outside of Japan. For the opening, they will have a variety of products lined up for release including a Hong Kong exclusive Visvim Christo Hexagon, Logans, Nomad Jacket 2.5Paclite, Original Fake x Visvim Zahra, Fluxus Denim, and other quality items. The store opening will be this Thursday April 26th and to celebrate this occasion there will also be a grand opening party. This party will feature many industry big names including Hiroshi Fujiwara, Hirofumi Kiyonaga of Soph, Hiroki Nakamura of Visvim, and many more.

Visvim x Neighborhood 7-Hole

Here is another look at the highly anticipated collaboration between Visvim and Neighborhood on the Visvim 7-Hole Boot model. From the last sample photos, the quality of the leather and suede combination have been upgraded and now displays a sleek and smoother look. Kaws x Visvim Zahra White Version

The previous release of the Kaws x Visvim Zahra black version was a sneaker that was talked about quite a bit and the past weekend marked the release of the white version of the shoe. This version is sold only at Original Fake and F.I.L. in Japan, so for those interested be sure to get them quick before there all gone.

Supertouch were lucky enough to catch up with Hiroki Nakamura this week and caught a sneak peak at the upcoming US Line from Visvim for the US market.. A line which hostorically has been a more colourful line than the original Japanese collections.. and this collection looks to follow the same path.

Visvim X Neighborhood 7-Hole

Earlier on Hypebeast previewed the highly anticipated collaboration between Visvim and Neighborhood. It was a joint venture that took two years in the making, and the result is the Visvim x Neighborhood 7-Hole Boot. No detail was spared in creating this heavy duty staple, with the work boot dawning a decidedly authoritative shade of black and adorned in rich suede and leathers No firm release date has been set but a tentative release is scheduled for early April.

Visvim Patent Leather Logans

One of Visvim’s more popular models, the Logan has taken a new look. For this release Visvim turned the Logan into an all patent leather shoe style. They come in three colors of Navy, White, and Black. They’re very simple and sleek, and should please any patent leather footwear enthusiast.

Visvim Logan

Visvim presents yet another new sneaker in its line-up – the Logan. Clearly taking inspiration from Vans, Visvim once again manages to make the shoe look more detailed and presents it in premium leathers and with very nice suede accents.

While some of the Visvim shoes are harder to wear because they are so different, these are definitely not part of that category and are simple enough to go with anything. Definitely a nice addition to their collection. For some people they might be too close to the Vans and not worth the extra money. But if you want something more high-end then this is the way to go.

Visvim x Sophnet Zahra

Shortly after the collaboration of Visvim with Kaws on the Zahra slip-on, they now present a new collaboration on the same shoe with Sophnet. This one is kept rather simple and features premium black leather and perforated pattern on the toe box. It kind of mixes a traditional “Budapest” leather shoe with a slip-on, which is an interesting combination

Incredible how extreme a shoe can look that is just white. Especially the white sole is really strong. By now, most of you have heard about this project, Visvim’s special line catering to the US market, Supertouch spoke to Hiroki Nakamura about what its about.

“In a matter of weeks Japanese footwear & clothing maker VisVim will debut their special US line to a legion of dedicated followers. To celebrate, Vis threw an intimate party at the company’s Los Angeles HQ over Labor Day weekend where the crew mingled with an array of tastemakers such as Craig Stecyk, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Huf, & Shawn Stüssy, among others. Supertouch stopped by to take a peek and pick the brain of VisVim creative director Hiroki Nakamura. We had some free Bar-B-Q too…”

It was only a matter of time until we saw a Visvim x Kaws collab coming. And it came already sooner than expected. Kaws and the japanese brand got together on a pair of slip-ons. They come in black and feature the signature cross eyes of the artist on them. Simple and to the point. Just beautiful!
